In 1825 Mary Blackman received £500 from her late father's Will.

Writing his Will in March 1836 Benjamin Blackman of Hooe, gent., confirms the bequest made to his sister Mary Blackman, spinster, in their late father's Will.

At the time of the 1851 England Census Mary Blackman, aged 74, born in Hooe Sussex, unmarried, was housekeeping for her nephew Robert Horton, farmer & grazier, in Pelsham Farm, Peasmarsh Sussex.

At the time of the 1861 England Census Mary Blackman, aged 84, born in Hooe Sussex, unmarried, was with her nephew Robert Horton, farmer, in Pelsham Farm, Peasmarsh Sussex.
