In the name of God Amen the thre & twentyth Daye of October in the yeare of our Lorde god One thousande Sixe hundred & Ninetiene I Richarde Warrell of Heathfeild in the Countye of Sussex husbandman beinge sicke in bodye but of good & perfecte remembrance (thankes be given to god therefore) doe make this my last will & testament in manner & forme followinge that is to saye First I yeild my soule into the handes of Almightye god my maker & redeemer And my bodye to the earth whereof yt was made to be buryed in Christian buryall where yt shall please god Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Alce wiffe of Beniamine Burstowe One Bedde, one Boulster, one hanginge, one Coverlett, one blankett, one fether pillowe, one Bedstedle, three pewter platters, one pewter dish, One Brasse Candlsticke, one warminge panne, One Joined chest, two milk Boules, one longe treye, one Milkinge tancker, one Brasse kettle, two Coushins, One tubbe, one keeler Item I give unto my sayd daughters her soonne Richarde or the surviver of them the somme of fortye shillings of good & lawfull monye of England to be payd unto them or the surviver of them within Sixe yeares next after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Susan wiffe of Christopher Jurye the somme of tenne poundes of like lawfull monye to be payd unto her within one yeare next after my decease Item I give unto the sayd Susan my daughter my wives best gowne, One little Cheste, One payre of sheetes & two peeces of pewter Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Marye wiffe of Thomas Wesson the somme of tenne poundes of like lawfull monye of Englande to be payd unto her within one yeare next after my decease Item I give unto the sayd Marye One flock Bed, One fether Boulster, one Blankett, One Coveringe of red & white, One hanginge, one Bedstedle, thre pewter platters of the best sorte that I have, One double salt, two milk Boules, two trouggs, One pewter pint pott, One yron morter, One mans cheyer turned, One little brasse kettle, One Brasse Candlesticke, One pewter dish, One brasse possnett, One keeler, my best wyned chest Item I give unto my grandchild Marye Wesson One Cubberd which the afore named Thomas Wesson hath nowe in his Custodye Item I give & bequeath unto my grandchild Thomas Wesson soone of the aforesayd Thomas One Brasse Caultherne nowe Beinge in the possession of Thomas Wesson first before named And if any of my sayd grandchildren shall happen to Dye before theye shalbe marryed then the surviver of them to have both the sayd Cubberd & Caultherne Item I give & bequeath unto my two grandchildren Thomas & Samuell sonnes of the aforenamed Christopher Jurye tenne shillings a peece to Be payd unto them within two yeares next after my decease All which severall legacies & Bequestes my mind [is that they] shalbe payd by myne executor hereafter named All the rest of my g[oods], Chattells, movable & immovable, my debtes & legacyes payd & my fune[rary expenses & duties payd &] performed I give unto my soonne Josias whom I make my sole exe[cutor of] this my last will & testament. And I appoynt my frindes George Cour[thopp] & William Crouch both of Heathfeild abovesayd to be Overseers of this my last will & testament And I utterly anull, avoyd, repeale & forsake all other form willes testaments legacyes & bequeastes hertofore by me in any wise had made or sealed In witnesse whereof I the sayd Richard Warrell have to this my last will & testament sett my hande & seale the daye & yeare first above written.
