In 1749 Catherine and her siblings, as children of John Bristed deceased, were bequeathed £5 each in the Will of their father's cousin Richard Bristed of Warbleton, gent. As John Bristed's children were minors at this time, the money was paid to their uncle Richard Bristed for their use.
