At the time of the 1851 England Census Elizabeth Hunt, age 12, born in Ashford Kent, was with her parents at 50 Week Street, Maidstone Kent.

At the time of the 1861 England Census Elizabeth Goldsmith, age 22, born in Ashford Kent, and husband Joseph A Goldsmith, age 26, born in Brabourne Kent, engine fitter, were living in the Bricklayers' Arms, Ashford Kent. With them were sons (born in Ashford): Joseph A (1y), and Frederick W (1m). Elizabeth's sister Maria Jones and her family were living in the same place.
