Writing his Will in Aug 1710 Stephen Rothwell of Uckfield, carrier, bequeathed £5 to his niece Mary Rothwell the daughter of John Rothwell.
In 1721 Mary Rothwell was bequeathed 20 shillings in her father's Will.
In 1738 Mary Jackson was co-executor of the Will of her brother Stephen Rothwell of Ardingly, carpenter.

Gives and bequeaths £10 to her daughter Sarah the wife of Thomas Gower of Lindfield, cordwainer. She also gives and bequeaths to Sarah her diamond ring, her best gown, her best petticoat and best cardinal.
Gives and bequeaths £10 to her daughter Hannah the wife of George Belchamber of Horsted Keynes. She also gives and bequeaths to Hannah her gold ring.
Gives and bequeaths £10 to her nephew Henry Freeman.
Gives and bequeaths £10 to her grandson Thomas Gower.
All the rest of her wearing apparel she gives and bequeaths to her said daughters Sarah and Hannah, share and share alike.
All the rest, residue and remainder of her monies, credits, securities for money, goods, chattels and personal estate, she gives and bequeaths to Thomas Gower of Lindfield, cordwainer, whom she appoints sole executor of her last will and testament.
