Hannah Holderness, widow
- Born:
- Married (2): 22 Apr 1742, St. Benet Paul's Wharf, London, England 1
Research Notes:
Hannah Holderness, widow, was of Colebrook Middlesex at the time of her marriage. It is possible she was Hannah Basset of the parish of Stanwell St. Mary co. Middlesex who married Robert Holderness of the parish of Langley on 9 Oct 1732. However, there is neither burial record nor will for Robert Holderness between 1732 and 1742.
Marriage Information:
Hannah also married George Gillmore alias Woolley, son of George Gillmore alias Woolley and Anne Short, on 22 Apr 1742 in St. Benet Paul's Wharf, London, England. (George Gillmore alias Woolley was christened 1 Aug 1683 in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, England and buried there on 20 Feb 1743.)
Marriage Notes:
George Woolley of Wootton Bassett B.*, and
Hannah Holderness of Colebrook Middlesex W.
* B and W undoubtedly stand for Bachelor and Widow. However, George, who wrote his will less than twelve months after his marriage with Hannah, names his two children by Hannah and his other children by an implied, unnamed earlier wife. As such, he was a widower not a bachelor in 1742.
