Princess Cairenn Chasdubh of the Britons (concubine)

   Another name for Cairenn was Cartha Cais Dubh.

   General Notes:

Captured and carried off in one of his raids into Roman Britain. As Eochaid's concubine, she was hated by his wife, Monghfinn, and forced to do menial work while in pregnancy, and it was while doing work that she gave birth to Niall, unfortunately dying in the process.

   Marriage Information:

Cairenn married Eochaid Mugmedón, Ard-rí na h'Éireann, son of Muiredach Tírech, Ard-rí na h'Éireann and Unknown. (Eochaid Mugmedón, Ard-rí na h'Éireann died in 365 in Teamhair, Ireland.)
