At the time of the 1861 England Census Frances A Akehurst, age 6, born in Heathfield Sussex, scholar, was with her parents in Swithe, Heathfield Sussex.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Frances Hook, age 26, born in Heathfield Sussex, and husband Thomas Hook, age 32, born in Waldron Sussex, ag lab, were living at 2 Brook House, Waldron Sussex.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Frances Hook, age 37, born in East Hoathly [sic], and husband Thomas Hook, age 43, born in Waldron Sussex, agricultural laborer, were living in The Brook, Waldron Sussex. Present were children (born in Waldron): Kate (9), scholar, William (8), scholar, James (7), scholar, George (5), Archie (3) and Jane (5 ms).

At the time of the 1901 England Census Frances A. Hook, age 45, born in East Hoathly, and husband Thomas Hook, age 53, born in Waldron Sussex, agricultural labourer, were living in New Pond, Waldron Sussex. With them were children (born in Waldron): Frances K. (19), William T. (18), gardener's assistant, James (17), agricultural labourer, George (16), agricultural labourer, Archie (16), carter, Jane (11), scholar, Alfred (8), scholar, and Ellen (7), scholar.

In Oct 1902 Fanny Hook was present at the marriage of her daughter Frances Kate Hook to Lilly Thomas Farley in Cross-in-Hand, Sussex.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Francis Hook, age 56, born in Heathfield Sussex (mother of 8 children), and husband of 31 years Thomas Hook, age 63, born in Waldron Sussex, general (agricultural) labourer, were living in Cross-in-Hand, Waldron Sussex. Present were children (born in Waldron, single): Archie (23), carman, Jane (21), Alfred (19), farm labourer, Nellie (18), domestic servant.


Frances Ann Hook of New Pond Waldron died aged 64 years (burial record). Age overstated by a couple of years.
