There does not appear to be a record of Isaac son of John Barrow born in 1825 in Hawkhurst. About 6 miles away in Goudhurst Kent an Isaac Barrow was born on 31 Jan 1825 and christened on 6 March following, son of George Barrow, farmer, and his wife Happy.

At the time of the 1851 England Census Isaac Barrow, age 26, born in Hawkhurst Kent, ostler, was working at the Queens Head Inn in Wadhurst Sussex.

At the time of the 1861 England Census Isaac Barrow, age 36, born in Hawkhurst Kent, groom & gardener, and wife Harriet Barrow, age 25, born in Burwash Sussex, were living in Highgate, Hawkhurst Kent. Present were children Thomas (3) of Salehurst Sussex, and Harriet (11 mnths) of Goudhurst Kent.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Isaac Barrow, age 46, born in Hawkhurst Kent, coachman, and wife Harriet Barrow, age 36, born in Burwash Sussex, were living in Highgate, Hawkhurst Kent. With them were children Isaac Thomas (13) of Salehurst Sussex, scholar, Harriet (10) of Goudhurst Kent, scholar, and born in Hawkhurst: Caroline (8), scholar, Mary (4), scholar, and Elizabeth (2).
