Thomas son of Thomas Simmons of Etchingham, gardener, and Jane (baptismal record)
--------------------------
At the time of the 1891 England Census Thomas Simmon, age 22, born in Ticehurst, milkman, was with his father 35 Lincoln St., Brighton Sussex.
Thomas's wife, Alice, was a widow at the time of the 1901 England Census, aged 35 years, born in Brighton. With her were her daughter Alice (age 1, born in Brighton) and her widowed father, Thomas Ford, age 67, milk carrier, also a native of Brighton. Thomas Simmons, married in 1892, was still living at the time their daughter Alice Daisy was born on 21 Apr 1899 (christened 11 June following), at which time he was a milk carrier. As such, he was probably the same Thomas Simmons whose death was registered during the 4th quarter of 1900 in the Steyning district of Sussex, said to have been aged 34 years at the time.
Marriage Information:
Thomas married Alice Ford, daughter of Thomas Ford, on 26 Sep 1892 in St. Peter's Church, Brighton, Sussex, England. (Alice Ford was born about 1854 in Brighton, Sussex, England.)
