In 1729 Maurice Lewis of Rhiw in county Carnarvon Gent. was one of the Trustees of the Will of Robert Morgan of Plâs canol, Gent. 2


Abstract of the Will of Maurice Lewis of Rhiw in the County of Carnarvon, Gentleman, written 7 Jun 1755, proved 7 Sep1757. 3

Gives and bequeaths to his grandson Maurice Lewis his silver watch.

All the rest and residue of his goods, chattels, rights, credits and personal estate he gives and bequeaths to his daughter Anne, now the wife of John Griffith of Llaneingau in co. Carnarvon, Gent., and to his daughter Mary, now the wife of William Williams of Pwllheli in the said county, mariner, share and share alike.

Appoints his said daughters co-executrices of his last will and testament.

Maurice married Elizabeth ROBERTS, daughter of Griffith ROBERTS of Rhiwgoch, Gent. and Jane GLYNNE, by 1712. (Elizabeth ROBERTS was born about 1694 in Rhiwgoch, Trawsfynydd, Merioneth, Wales and died before 16 Dec 1725 in Rhiw, Lleyn, Caernarvonshire, Wales.)

Maurice also married Mary ELLIS, daughter of Richard ELLIS of Gwynfryn and Jane. (Mary ELLIS was born in Gwynfryn, Llanystumdwy, Caernarvonshire, Wales and died before 7 Jun 1755.)
