The Chronologia Johannes de Beke records the marriage of Count Dirk VI and "Sophiam filiam Ottonis de Rinegh comitis palatini". The Annales Egmundani name "palatinus…comes Otto de Rineke" as brother of "comitissæ Sophiæ Hollandensis".
Heiress of Bentheim. The Annales Egmundani record the visit to Jerusalem in 1173 of "Sophia comitissa Hollandensis et filio suo Ottone" and her death in 1176. The Chronologia Johannes de Beke records that "Sophia comitissa" visited Jerusalem after her husband died and died there "VI Kal Oct" and was buried "ad hospitale Teutonicorum in Iherusalem". Beke's Egmondsch Necrologium records the burial "VI Kal Oct" of "Sophia…mater Florencii comitis" at Jerusalem. 1

Sophie married Dirk VI GERULFING, Count of Holland, son of Floris II "the Fat" GERULFING, Count of Holland, and Gertrude dite Petronilla DE LORRAINE, before 1137. (Dirk VI GERULFING was born about 1114, died on 5 Aug 1157 and was buried in Egmond Aan Den Hoef, Noord Holland, Netherlands.)
