The Annalista Saxo names "Richenzam postea imperatricem et Gertrudem palatinam comitissam" as the two daughters of Heinrich and his wife Gertrud. Emperor Heinrich V confirmed an exchange of property acquired by Kloster Reinhardsbrunn from, among others, "palatinum comitem Sigifridum eiusque coniugem Gertrudem" by charter dated 27 Aug 1111. The primary source which confirms her second marriage has not yet been identified.
Heiress of Friesland. A charter dated 1134, under which Emperor Lothar donated property to the monastery of St Marie at Brunswick, names "Gertrudis marchionissa, filia Ekeberti marchionis" as founder and also names "coniuge nostra Rikensa, eiusdem marchionisse filia…[et] filii sui Ottonis et filiarum, Richenze coniugis nostre et Gertrude Palatine comitisse". "Clementia comitissa de Glizberg cum meis nepotibus Ottone et Wilhelmo" confirmed the foundation of Schiffenberg, with the consent of "domne Gertrudis palatine…[et] Adela filia eiusdem palatine", by charter dated 1141.
Gräfin von Bentheim. A charter dated to [1150/54] names "Gertrude comitissa Benthemiensi" and refers to "morte mariti sui Ottonis Palatini". Friedrich Bishop of Münster and "comitissa Gertrudis de Benthem" donated property to the Benedictines by charter dated 1154. 1

Gertrud married Siegfried VON BALLENSTEDT, Graf von Orlamünde, Pfalzgraf von Lothringen, son of Gf. Adalbert VON BALLENSTEDT and Mathilde VON SCHWABEN, before 27 Aug 1111. (Siegfried VON BALLENSTEDT was born about 1075 and died on 3 Sep 1113.)
Marriage Information:
Gertrud also married Otto VON SALM, Graf von Rheineck & Bentheim, son of Gf. Hermann I VON SALM and Sophia, about 1115. (Otto VON SALM was born between 1070 and 1075 and died in 1150, before 12 November.)
