Guntheuca (Gondioque) GJÚKUNGAR Princess of the Burgundians
- Born: Abt 490
- Married (1): Between 514 and 521
- Married (2): Abt 524
- Died: 532
Research Notes:
Gregory of Tours names Guntheuca as widow of Chlodomer King of the Franks and records her second marriage with his brother Clotaire, but does not give her origin. Settipani suggests, for onomastic reasons only, that she may have belonged to the Burgundian royal family which, if correct, means that for chronological consistency she may have been the daughter of either King Gundobad or his brother Godogisel. 1

Guntheuca married Chlodomer MEROVING King of Orléans, son of Chlodovech (Clovis) I "The Great" MEROVING King of the Salian Franks and St. Chrotechildis GJÚKUNGAR Princess of Burgundy, between 514 and 521. (Chlodomer MEROVING King of Orléans was born in 495 and died on 21 Jun 524 in Battle of Vézeronce, Rhône-Alpes, France.)
