16 Jul 1868: Mr. David Howell of No 156 Cheapside in the City of London the Solicitor for the Petitioner Elizabeth Mary di Villa filed Petition and Affidavit and issued Citation against the Respondent.

25 Jul 1868: Felix Manso di Villa of 4 Hunter Street Brunswick Square in the County of Middlesex the Respondent entered an appearance in person.

28 Jul 1868: Citation returned executed on Respondent.

5 Nov 1868: The Solicitor for Petitioner filed Affidavit of John James. Statement for Motion and Notice.

28 Apr 1869: The Judge ... pronounced that the Petitioner had sufficiently proved the contents of the said Petition, and decreed that the Marriage, had been solemnized on the twentieth day of September, 1861, at Saint Aloysius's Chapel, Clarendon Square, in the District of Pancras in the County of Middlesex between Elizabeth Mary Di Villa then Pater, Spinster, the Petitioner, and Felix Manso Di Villa, Respondent, be dissolved by reason of the said Felix Manso Di Villa having since the celebration of the said marriage been guilty of Adultery coupled with the desertion of the said Elizabeth Mary Di Villa without reasonable excuse for two years and upwards.

Also there was Ellen's widowed mother Charlotte Tufnell, age 84, born in Chichester Sussex.
