In 1817 Joseph Ephraim was a witness at the marriage of his sister-in-law Margaret Richards to Evan Evans in Trawsfynydd.

In 1828 Joseph Ephraim was a witness at the marriage in Trawsfynydd of his daughter Ann Joseph to Morris Jones of Maentwrog.

In 1861 Joseph Ephraim (82) of Trawsfynydd, widower, pauper, was living in Penrhiw, Festiniog, Merioneth.
