* Mercy was his wife Abigail's sister.
In 1846 George Stevenson of Fletching, eldest son, was a residuary legatee of his father's Will.
At the time of the 1881 England Census George Stevenson, age 61, born in Fletching, widower, ironmonger &c., was living at 12 High Street Eastbourne Sussex. With him were daughters Clara Stevenson (30) of Firle, and Mary Ann Stevenson (16) of Eastbourne.
