"Rodulfus rex et Mathildis soror eius" are named as children of "Mathilde…filia…Gerberga" by the Continuator of Flodoard, which specifies that Mathilde was mother of Berta who was mother of "Geroldus Genevensis".

Carutti identifies the husband of Mathilde as Hugo [IX] Graf von Egisheim, but he cites no primary source on which this hypothesis is based. ¹
