CROWAN.
The funeral of Mr. Benjamin Blewett, of Crowan, took place at Crowan churchyard on Tuesday. Deceased, who had been ill for three years, passed away on Sunday, June 13, at the age of 75. The following were the chief mourners: Mrs. B. Blewett (widow), Messrs. Ben, Charles and Joe Blewett (sons), Mesdames Schopeld, Berriman, Thomas, James, Harris and Heather (daughters), Messrs. Schopeld, Berriman, James and Harris (sons-in-law), Mesdames B. and C. Blewett (daughters-in-law), Wesley Berriman, Mesdames Berriman, Richards, Tronman and Karkeek (nieces), Messrs. The coffin was of unpolished elm and bore the following inscription: "Benjamin Blewett, died Sunday, June 13th, aged 75 years." ...
