In 1767 Robert Jones of Ffridd bryn côch was named in the Will of his uncle William Bevan of Maês y Garnedd in the parish of Llanbedr in county Merioneth, in which William requested that Robert be one of the Trustees for William's grandchildren.
Robert Jones of Llanfihangel bachelleth in the county of Caernarvon, drover, was granted Administration of the personal effects of his mother Anne Roberts of Llanddwywe in the County of Merioneth, widow, on 10 Jul 1771. 4

Abstract of the Will of Robert Jones of Tan y Coed in the Parish of Llanfihangel Bachellaeth in the County of Caernarvon, Gentleman, written 20 Jun 1802, proved 17 Mar 1803, probate granted 9 Aug 1803. 5
Gives and devises all his freehold messuage, tenements, lands, hereditaments & premises called Tyddyn y lôn and Gorseddfa in the Parish of Llandwrog in county Caernarvon, and Cefn Chwilog in the Parish of Llanystyndwy in the said County (purchased from Mrs Wynne of Llewesog) to his wife Dorothy Jones for and during her natural life.
After the decease of his wife, he gives & devises the said Cefn Chwilog to his grandson William Jones, son of John Jones, Gentleman, and Margaret his wife.
All the rest of his personal estate, goods & chattels at Tyn y Coed aforesaid and Fridd Bryncoch in the Parish of Llanddwywe in the County of Merioneth he gives and devises to his wife Dorothy Jones, constituting and appointing her sole Executrix of his last will and testament.
