In 1821 Martin Harvey was named as a beneficiary in the will of his paternal grandfather, Martin Harvey of Crowan, yeoman.

In 1851 Martin Harvey (43) of Gwinear was with his widowed mother in Truthwall, Crowan.

In 1861 Martin Harvey (53) of Gwinear, blind, farmer of 50 acres employing 2 men, and wife Emma (36) of Gwinear, were living in Penglaze Crowan. With them were children (born in Gwinear): Martin (7), scholar, Wilmot (5), scholar, Edward (3), Wm. (2), Emma (1), father-in-law Edward Bawden (67) of Phillack, widowed, miner, and two servants.

In 1871 Martyn Harvey (64) of Gwinear, blind through explosion of powder at mine, farmer of 30 acres employing 1 labourer, and wife Emma (46) of Gwinear, were living in Polglase (Farmhouse), Crowan. With them were children (born in Gwinear): Martyn (17), Welmot (15), Edward (13), scholar, William (12), scholar, Emma (11), scholar, and born in Crowan: Jane (9), scholar, Eliza (4), scholar, lodger Margaret Ellen Hunter (15) of Camborne, dressmaker

In 1881 Martin Harvey (74) of Gwinear, blind, retired farmer, and wife Emma (56) of Gwinear, were living in Leedstown, Crowan. Present were daughters (born in Crowan): Jane (19), dressmaker, Eliza (13), scholar

The Will of Martin Harvey late of Carzise Common near Leedstown in the parish of Crowan in the county of Cornwall, who died 25 Jul 1860 at Carzise Common, was proved 11 September 1891 at Bodmin by Emma Harvey of Carzise Common, widow, the relict, the sole executrix. Personal estate: £121 13s. 9d. 2
