In 1771 Isabella Mathews, widow, was a beneficiary of the will of her brother Martin Gubbs of Penzance, Gent, receiving an annuity of £6 for life.

In 1790 Isabel Matthews was a beneficiary of the will of her sister Elizabeth Gubbs of Penzance, spinster, who left her an annuity of £4, in addition to what she had already been given by her brother Martin.
