Abstract of the Will of Stephen Ustick of Botallack in the County of Cornwall, Gentleman, written 23 Apr 1743, proved 21 May 1754. 6
Gives to his wife his three best feather beds, besteads, curtains, vallance, bolsters, pillows, quilts, blankets, sheets, her chest of drawers and other items.
Gives a suit of mourning each to his wife and children.
Gives to his eldest son John Ustick the old family plate.
Gives £300 each to his three younger sons Stephen Ustick, Thomas Ustick and William Ustick, to be paid to them when they each turn twenty-one.
Gives £300 each to his three daughters Mary Ustick, Jane Ustick and Catherine Ustick, to be paid to them when they each turn twenty-one or marry, whichever happens first.
All the rest of his goods, rights, credits, chattels and personal estate he gives to the Rev. Walter Borlase of the parish of Madron, Clerk, Doctor of Laws, to John Penrose of the town of Penzance in co. Cornwall, Gent, his brother-in-law, and to Christopher Davies of the parish of Ludgvan in co. Cornwall, Gent., in trust, to sell for the payment of his debts. Also gives to them all his messuages, dwelling houses, lands, tenements, hereditaments and real estate in co. Cornwall, to sell and from the proceeds pay the said legacies.
Appoints the said Walter Borlase, John Penrose and Christopher Davies, as guardians and trustees of his children during their respective minorities, appointing them co-executors of his last will and testament.
