In 1624 Edward Hobbs was named as a beneficiary in his father's will, then underage.

In March 1641/2 Edw Hobbs of Gerrans took the Protestation Oath.

In 1653 Edward Hobbs was co-executor and a beneficiary of the will of his mother-in-law Joane Kempe of Rosteague, widow, who left him £20.
