In 1841 Sampson Rosewall, aged about 40, born in the county, farmer, and wife Elizabeth Rosewall, aged about 30, were living in Church Town, Towednack, Cornwall. With them was daughter Mary (1).

In 1851 Sampson C Rosewall, aged 55, born in St. Ives, Cornwall, landed proprietor, and wife Elizabeth Rosewall, aged 42, born in St. Ives, farmer's wife, were living in Terrace, St. Ives. With them were children (born in St. Ives) Jane (8), James (6), daughter Lavinia (4), and Sampson (3).

In 1861 Sampson C Rosewall, aged 64, born in St. Ives, farmer of 101 acres employing 2 labourers and 2 boys, and wife Elizabeth Rosewall, aged 52, born in St. Ives, were living in Terrace, St. Ives. With them were children (born in St. Ives, unmarried) Mary (20), Jane (16), Lavinia (14), scholar, and Sampson (11), scholar.

In 1866 Sampson Curnow Rosewall of St. Ives, gentleman, was co-executor of the will of his brother James Rosewall of St. Ives, gentleman.

In 1871 Sampson Rosewall, aged 74, born in St. Ives, widower, retired farmer, was living in St. Ives. With him were children (born in St. Ives, unmarried) Mary (30), Lavinia (24), and Sampson (21).

In 1881 Sampson C. Rosewall, aged 84, born in St. Ives, widower, retired farmer, was living in Bellays Terrace, St. Ives. Present were daughters Mary Rosewall (40), single, and Lavinia Rosewall (34), single.

The Will of Sampson Curnow Rosewall late of the borough of St. Ives in the county of Cornwall, Gentleman, who died 25 May 1882 at St. Ives, was proved 26 June at Bodmin by Lavinia Rosewall of St. Ives, spinster, the daughter, one of the Executrixes. Personal estate: £1,325 13s. 9d. 3
