In 1841 Thomas Vivian, aged about 35, born in the county, copper miner and wife Mary, aged about 30, were living in Brea, Camborne, Cornwall. With them were children Francis (11), Mary (9), Jane (7), Eliza (2), and Thomas (4 months).

In 1851 John [sic] Vivian, aged 44, born in Camborne, and wife Mary, aged 41, born in Camborne, were living in Brea, Camborne. With them were children (born in Camborne) Francis (21), scholar, and Mary Ann (19), mining girl.

In 1861 Thomas Vivian, aged 54, born in Sithney* Cornwall, tin miner, and wife Mary, aged 51, born in Illogan Cornwall, were living in Brea, Camborne. With them were daughter M. A. Chenoweth (29) of Illogan, widow, tin mine woman, and grandson Thomas Chenoweth (3) of Camborne.
