John Trenberth, aged 21, born in Cornwall, miner, arrived in New York, USA in 1887 aboard the ship Arizona. ⁴ His wife followed in 1893.

At the time of the 1900 U.S. Federal Census John Trenberth, aged 33, born in England (Feb 1867), miner - supt., immigrated 1887, and wife of 13 years Johanah Trenberth, aged 30, born in England (Jul 1869), immigrated 1893, were living in Hamilton Township, Butte, California. With them were children (born in California) John H. (5), Nora (3) and Marshal (2).

In 1910 John Trenberth, aged 42, born in England, copper miner, and wife Johanna Trenberth, aged 41, born in England, mother of 4 children, were living in Shasta, Shasta, California. With them were children (born in California) John A. (15), waiter (at a) boarding house, Nora V. (13), Marshall (11), Bernice M. (10).

John Trenberth, married to Johana, died aged 59 years 6 days as a result of pulmonary tuberculosis. He had been at the same place of residence for 13 years, and had lived in California for 35 years. ³
