In 1891, Edith Trenberth, aged 19 years, born in Gwennap Cornwall, was housekeeper and head of a household in Goon Gumpas, Gwennap. With her were her two sisters Sarah Jane Trenbeth (43) and Emily Trenberth (33) who were crippled from birth, whom Edith was undoubtedly looking after.
