In 1851 Robert Higham, aged 20, born in Constantine Cornwall, shoemaker, was with his parents in Praze, Crowan, Cornwall.

In 1861 Robert H. Higham, aged 28, born in Constantine Cornwall, schoolmaster, national, and wife Sarah V. HIgham, aged 27, born in Cambourne Cornwall, schoolmaster's wife, were living in edberth Village, Pembroke, Wales. With them were children Bessie V. (8) of Crowan Cornwall, scholar, Ellen (5) of Falmouth Cornwall, scholar, Robert C. (3) of Coleridge Devon, and Thomas H. (11 months) of Redberth Pembroke.

In 1871 Robert Henry Higham, aged 39, born in Constantine Cornwall, and [2nd] wife Louisa Higham, aged 22, born in Reading, were living in School House, Snatchwood Road, Trevethin, Monmouthshire, Wales. With them were children Bessie Vivian (18) of Crowan, articled pupil teacher, Ellen (16) of Falmouth, Robert Chas. (14) of Coleridge Devon, scholar, Thomas Hy (11) of Carew Pembroke, scholar, Anne Pitney (9) of St. James Shaftesbury Dorset, scholar, and Vivian Ernest (7) of Calstock Cornwall.

In 1881 Robt H. Higham, aged 48, born in Crowan, certified teacher of natural science(s), and wife Louisa Higham, aged 32, born in Reading Berkshire, were living in Yeovil, Somerset. Present were son Vivian E. (16) of Calstock, articled pupil teacher, visitor Robt. Higham (23) of Coleridge Devon, art teacher.

In 1901 Robt H. Higham, aged 68, born in Constantine, widower, certified teacher, was at 8 St. Leonards Road, Aldrington, Sussex. With him was son Ernest Rich'd Wright (19) of Yeovil Somerset, articled teacher.
