In 1911 John B. Blewett, aged 69, born in St. Ives, mariner (merchant service), and wife Honor W. Blewett, aged 63, born in St. Ives (mother of 6 children, 1 deceased), were living in St. Peters St., St. Ives. With them were daughter Evelyn M. Trevithick (23) of St. Ives, widow (mother of 3 children), and grandchildren (born in St. Ives) Lottie B. Trevithick (3½), Dick T. Trevithick (2½), and Nancy J. Trevithick (11 [months]).

Mr. John Bennett Blewett, retired mariner, passed away after a short illness at his residence, St. Peter's-street, St. Ives, on Wednesday night. Deceased, who was 69 years of age, was a prominent member of the St. Ives Mariners' Mission Church. The funeral took place on Sunday amid every token of respect. The first portion of the service was conducted in the Parish Church by the parish clergy. Appropriate hymns were sung, and the surpliced choir attended and headed the funeral procession, the processional cross being carried by the banner bearer.

John married Honor Welch Care, daughter of Charles Welch Care and Matilda Stevens, in 1877 in the Penzance district, Cornwall. (Honor Welch Care was born in Apr 1849 in St. Ives, Cornwall, christened 6 May 1849 in St. Ives, Cornwall and died in 1936 in St. Ives, Cornwall, aged 87 years.)
