In 1901 Nicholas H. Martin, aged 53, born in Stithians Cornwall, manufact[urer] and pharmaceutical chemist, employer, and wife Nannie Martin, aged 48, born in Hayle, were living at Ravenswood, Lamesley, Durham. With them was daughter Maud Vivian (25) of Gateshead Durham.

In 1911 Nicholas Henry Martin, aged 63, born in Stithians, widower, manufacturing, pharmaceutical chemist, surgical and scientific instruments maker, was living at Ravenswood Low Fell Gateshead. With him was daughter Maud Vivian Martin (35) of Gateshead, single.
