Succeeded to the estates (Pencallenick) under the entail on the death of his cousin James 1820, and assumed the name VIVIAN 4 May 1820. ²

In June 1820 John Vivian lately called John Tippet of the borough of Helston, Esquire, was granted Administration of his father's personal estate.

In 1851 John Vivian, aged 65, born in St. Erth Cornwall, banker, and wife Cordelia Vivian, aged 55, born in Helstone Cornwall, were living in Pencalinick, Truro, Cornwall. With them were Marianne (30) of Helston, Charles A. (23) of Wendron, Francis H. (22) of Helston, and 6 servants.

Abstract of the Will of John Vivian of Pencalenick in the Parish of St. Clement in the County of Cornwall, Esquire, written 29 Aug 1845, proved 24 Mar 1855. ⁴

Gives to his wife Cordelia Vivian his duchy manor of Morest and lands in the parish of St. Clement, co. Cornwall, the next presentation to the rectory and parish church of Cardinham, and all his personal estate, chattels and effects, appointing her sole executrix of his last will and testament.
