In 1861 Catherine Rule, aged 25, born in Camborne Cornwall, and husband John Rule, aged 36, born in St. Hilary Cornwall, mine carpenter, were in Lower Downs, St. Hilary. With them were John's daughters (born in St. Hilary) Ann James (8), scholar, Mary Jane (6), scholar, and Elizabeth E. (5), scholar.

In 1881 Catherine Rule, aged 45, born in Camborne, and husband John Rule, aged 56, born in St. Hilary, carpenter in copper mine, were living in Praze, St. Erth, Cornwall. With them was John's daughter Mary J. (26) of St. Hilary.

In April 1888 Catherine Rule of Relubbas, widow, was granted Administration of her late husband's effects.

In 1891 Catherine Michell, aged 53, born in Camborne, and [2nd husband] Joseph Michell, aged 54, born in Camborne, tin miner, were in Relubbus Grove, St. Hilary.

In 1901 Catherine Michell, aged 64, born in Camborne, widow, living on own means, was in Relubbus, St. Hilary Cornwall. With her was stepdaughter Mary Jane Newton (44) of St. Hilary, widow, grocer (own account), and granddaughters Elizabeth Jane Newton (12) and Gladys Alfrida Rule (7), both born in St. Hilary.

Catherine married John Rule, son of Thomas Rule and Elizabeth, on 27 Jan 1858 in St Hilary, Cornwall. (John Rule was born in 1825 in St. Hilary, Cornwall, christened 3 Apr 1825 in St. Hilary, Cornwall, died on 26 Nov 1887 in Relubbus, St. Hilary, Cornwall, and was buried on 30 Nov 1887 in St. Hilary, Cornwall, aged 63 years.)
