In 1861 Jane V. Boyce, aged 38, born in Ilsington Devonshire, clergyman's wife, and husband William Boyce, aged 40, born in Gawcott Buckinghamshire, clergyman, M.A. with the cure of souls, classical teacher, were living at Priory School House, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. With them were children (born in Cheltenham) Arthur C. W. (8), scholar, Mary V. (7), scholar, Frederick W. (3), scholar, Annie E. T. (2), unnamed infant son, and (husband's) nephew Edward T. Candy (15) of Bombay India.
In 1871 Jane V. Boyce, aged 48, born in Ilsington, married, was in Prestbury, Gloucestershire. With her were daughters (born in Cheltenham) Mary V. (17) and Annie E. J. M. (12).
In 1881 Jane V. Boyce, aged 59, born in Ilsington, and husband William Boyce, aged 60, born in Gawcott Bucks, clergyman (with care of souls), were in Warwick Rd., Paddington London. Present were children (born in Cheltenham) Arthur C. (28), articled clerk solicitor, Frederick W. R. (23), . . . . . . . B.A., Mary V. (27) and Annie E. J. (23).
In 1891 Jane V. Boyce, aged 68, born in Ilsington, married, living on own means, was at 9 Royal Crescent, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. With her were daughters (born in Cheltenham) Annie J. (32), single, Mary V. Jackson (37), married.
In 1901 Jane Woolcombe Boyce, aged 78, born in Ilsington, and husband W. Woolcombe Boyce, aged 80, born in Gawcott Bucks, Clerk in Holy Order, C.E., were at 26 Imperial Sq., Cheltenham. With them were daughter Annie (42) of Cheltenham, single, and grandson Harold C Woolcombe Boyce (14) of London.

A LINK WITH THE PAST.
The story of one of the most notable wrecks in the annals of the British Navy has been recalled by the death, at Cheltenham, of Mrs. Jane Vivian Woollcombe-Boyce, widow of the Rev. W. Woollcombe-Boyce, from 1845 to 1876 one of the teaching staff of the Classical Department of Cheltenham College, and a house master. The deceased lady, who was 87 years of age, was the last surviving grandchild of Rear-Admiral Robert Carthew Reynolds, of Penair, Cornwall, who perished with over 700 officers and men in his flagship, H.M.S. St. George, off the coast of Jutland, on Christmas Eve, 1811.
