Hannah travelled to Mexico with her father-in-law, Capt. James Rablin, as affianced bride to his son, W. Rablin. At Vera Cruz Hannah 'took that terrible disease, the vomito, and succumbed to it at Orizava, on the 4th instant..... The young lady was named Hannah Tippet, daughter of Mr. William Tippet, of Camborne, Cornwall, England, and she was, at the time of her death, in her 20th year.' ²
