* According to his burial record, Mark Holmes was aged 80 years when he died. From this one would deduce that he would have been about 28 years old when he married Susannah Motley. It is possible that his age in the marriage bond (25) has been mistranscribed. However, I've deferred to the Marriage Bond because Mark Holmes would have been the one to have supplied his age whereas his age at death would obviously have been supplied by someone else....
