Born about 1768, a Joseph son of Luke Swaine was christened 13 Nov 1768 in Camborne. However, there is a burial entry in the Camborne Register dated 12 Jun 1770 for Joseph son of Luke Swaine. More likely this was Joseph son of Samson Swaine, christened in Camborne 1 Apr 1766, noting that a Samson Swaine was a witness at Joseph's marriage.
