In February 1918 Minna Simmons James (wife of John Bond James) was granted Probate of her late mother's personal effects.

In 1921 Minna Symons James, aged 40 years 2 months, born in Hayle, home duties, and husband John Bond James, aged 48 years 2 months, born in Hayle, retired butcher, were living in East Phillack, Cornwall. With them was daughter Marjorie (9y 10m) of Hayle.

In the 1939 Register Minna S James (b. 25 Oct 1881*), unpaid domestic duties, and husband James B James (b. 22 Nov 1871), retired butcher, were living at 28 Clifton Terrace, Hayle. At the same address was (daughter) Marjorie James (b. 4 Aug 1911), single, unpaid domestic duties.

Minna married John Bond James, son of Samuel James and Phillippa Bond, on 18 Sep 1907 at the Wesleyan Chapel, Foundry, Hayle, Cornwall. (John Bond James was born on 22 Nov 1871 in Hayle, Cornwall and died on 6 Feb 1944 at 28 Clifton Terrace, Hayle, Phillack, Cornwall.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place in the Foundry Wesley Chapel, on Wednesday, of Mr. John Bond James, only son of Mr. Samuel James, of Market Square, Copperhouse, and Miss Mina Broad, only daughter of Mr. Humphrey T. Broad, of Clifton-terrace, Hayle. The bride was charmingly attired, and was given away by her father. After the ceremony the bridal party proceeded to the home of the bride, where breakfast was partaken of. Later in the day they left for London, where the honeymoon will be spent.
