In 1861, John Simons (34) of Hayle, unmarried, clerk to a merchant, was lodging in Porthleven, Sithney with the Mayne family.
In 1871, John Simons (43) of Phillack, Mang. Harboru. Comp., and wife M. A. D. (38) of Shoreham Sussex, were living in Sithney. Present were son Earnest J. M. (2) of Sithney, mother-in-law Elizabeth Mayne (78) of Wendron, sister-in-law Elizabeth Mayne (41) of Bawdsey Sussex.
