In 1840 John Tremelling became a beneficiary of his father's will.
In 1851 John Tremellin, aged 36 [sic], born inPhillack Cornwall, joiner, wife Elizth. Tremellin, aged 28, born in Appledore Devon, children: Jane T. (7), scholar, Elizth. Ann (2), John T. (5m), were with Elizabeth's parents John Thomas, sailor, his wife Elizabeth, in Hayle Terrace, Phillack.
In 1861 John Tremelling, aged 49, born in Phillack, carpenter, and wife Elizabeth Tremelling, aged 38, born in Appledore Devon, were living in Commercial Road, Phillack. With them were children (born in Phillack): Jane T. (17), Elizabeth A. (12), John T. (10), Susan L. (3), Emily B. (1)
In 1871 John Tremellen, aged 59, born in Hayle, N.S., and wife Elizabeth Tremellen, aged 48, born in Appledore Devon, were living in Commercial Road Phillack. Present were children: John Thomas (20), engine fitter, Jane Thomas (26), domestic, Susan Louisa (13), scholar, Emily Bury (11), scholar.

AN ACCIDENT happened to Mr. John Tresmelling [sic], of the carpentering department of the factory at Hayle, on Wednesday morning. Mr. Tremelling was painting the windows of some of the Company's houses at Carnsew, when a stave of the ladder, on which he was standing, broke and he fell to the ground with great force, receiving severe injuries by the fall. Mr. Mudge was soon in attendance and rendered such surgical aid as was required. The sufferer was taken to his home.

HAYLE.
MR. John Tremelling, who sustained some injuries a few weeks since by falling out of a ladder while in the act of painting, died, somewhat suddenly, on Monday afternoon last.
