"CLAY CENTER --- Wilma Irene Achenbach, 93, Clay Center, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at a Clay Center nursing home.
Mrs. Achenbach was a waitress at the Sunflower Cafe and Kents Cafe in Clay Center. She also had managed the Green Gable restaurant in Clay Center.
She was born Sept. 22, 1909, in Concordia, the daughter of William and Carrie Davis Eustice. She had lived in Clay Center since 1938.
Mrs. Achenbach was a member of First Christian Church and the auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Clay Center.
She married Lawrence "Dick" Achenbach on Aug. 6, 1928. He died March 30, 1975.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Achenbach, Aurora, Colo., and Sid Achenbach, Arkansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild...." 2
