"PIONEER PASSES.
After a lingering illness, death claimed Mrs Mary Anne Holman, who resided with her son at Berringa, at the advanced age of 81 years. The deceased, who was of an unassuming disposition, had been an invalid for some time. The remains were conveyed to Bendigo, and were interred in the Eaglehawk cemetery, the burial service being conducted by Rev W. J. Bottoms. A grown-up family of seven sons are left to mourn their loss, including Rev. E. F. Holman, Berringa, and Mr Holman, M.L.A., representing Murchison, W.A." 3
