"Mr. EDWARD HOLMAN.

Mr. Edward Holman passed away at a private hospital, Kooweerup, on 27th July, after an illness of four hours, at the age of 63 years. He was a Home Missionary, connected with the Methodist Church, where he had been stationed for some years, and during his sojourn in that town was held in high esteem. He has left a widow and family of six children. The funeral — one of the largest seen in the district—took place on Thursday last, leaving his late residence, and proceeded to the church (which could not accommodate the large gathering), and many citizens - preceded the hearse. At the conclusion of the service, which was conducted by the Rev. B. L, Semmens, superintendent of the Circuit, assisted by the Rev. T. R. Rentoul, superintendent of the Home Missionary Society, and Mr. Guy, Home Missionary of Pakenham, the funeral proceeded through the town, headed by a large number of citizens who joined in the cortege to the Dandenong cemetery, where the remains were laid to rest, the Rev. Semmens, Rentoul and Mr. Guy officiating...." 5
