Elizabeth Weldon
- Born: Abt 1480, Horsleydown, Southwark, Surrey, England
- Married: Abt 1500
- Died: 1522, Deddington, Oxfordshire, England
Research Notes:
From the tomb in the old chantry chapel, we find that William's wife was Elizabeth -------, who had died in 1522. From Harleian MSS 1556 f. 98b (p. 148), it is found that she was Elizabeth, daughter of Hugh Weldon of Horseydowne [i.e., Horsleydown] in Southwark. The name Horselydown Lane is still remembered in a street on the Surrey east end of Tower Bridge. Rotherhithe, which is hard by, was a shipping point for wool across the Channel to Calais. 1
Marriage Information:
Elizabeth married William Billing, son of John Billing and Agnes, about 1500. (William Billing was born about 1470 and died on 28 Aug 1533 in Deddington, Oxfordshire, England.)
