  Research Notes:

In 1730 Thomas Harris was co-executor and a residuary legatee of his father's will.

On 22 Aug 1741 Thomas Harris and his brother Charles Harris renounced Administration of the goods &c of their late uncle William Harris of Camborne, gent.

In 1743 Thomas son of John Harris deceased was beneficiary of the will of his uncle Joseph Harris of Camborne, receiving £5.

Recites that William Harris, late of Camborne aforesaid, gentleman, deceased and uncle of The said Thomas Harris in any by articles of agreement of 22 September 1732 granted to Richard Mason and his partners .... full power and lawful authority and free liberty and license to drive and carry on an adit thentofore begun in the fields or closes of land known by the name of Parkan Dowers alias the Tryangle and which had been likewise thentofore carried on many fathoms in the Parkan Dowers on a load called Wheal Bowen load in Camborne aforesaid and which said closes of land were the inheritance of land were then the inheritance of the said William Harris but are now the inheritance of the said Thomas Harris by which said articles of agreement the said Edward Mason and his partners had likewise liberty to drive and carry on the said adit to the full extent of the said fields or closes of land of him the said Thomas Harris and also into and through the lands of Samuel Enys esquire lately deceased called Higher Rosewarne in Camborne aforesaid and now the lands of John Enys esquire and from thence into the tenement and premises called Gwelegerry in the said parish and then likewise the lands of the said William Harris but now of the said Thomas Harris , together with liberty license and authority for the said Edward Mason and his partners to dig and search for copper and copper ores or any other metals in the said tenement of Gwelegerry and the same there found to spall dress up and carry away at their will and pleasure, and also to drive any adit or adits in the said premises for the more necessary working or trying the said ground as occasion should require and as the said Edward Mason and his partners should thinlk fit and also drive the said adit or adits to any other of their adventures (except as in the said articles are respectively excepted), for the term of 21 years commencing on 20 November 1731 at a rate of one half share or dish dole

Also recites articles of agreement tripartite agreed upon by and between the said Thomas Harris and his coadventurers in a certain mine called Whele Kitty in the said parish of Camborne and whose names are thereunto respectively sett and subscribed ... of the first part, the said Thomas Harris and his coadventurers in the mine or adventure called Whele Gerry in the said tenement of Gwele Girry [Gerry] aforesaid in Camborne aforesaid.... of the second part, and John Enys of Enys in the County of Cornwall esquire and his coadventurers in a certain mine called Higher Rosewarne in Camborne aforesaid ... of the third part and bearing date the 12 August 1748 granting a reversionary sett or grant of Wheal Gerry Mine for a further term of 21 years to commence on the determination of the present sett or grant which will be on 20 November 1752 next ensuing, but excepting out of this new sett such of the present adventurers as should or shall not pay their several arrears of costs due on the said Wheal Gerry Mine to the date of the said reversionary sett and subject to the payment of one sixth dish or share dole of all such ores etc and subject to the clauses etc of the said reversionary sett ....

The respective present adventurers in the said mine called Wheal Gerry whose names are endorsed on the back of these presents have been served with notice by Thomas Harris to attend severally at the house of Simon Hockin, innkeeper in the parish of Camborne aforesaid to pay the sums which he had laid out for them respectively in carrying on the said mine to date .... and who have severally made defaults in such attendances and payments contrary to the covenants in the said recited tripartite articles of indenture and were then excluded from participation in the said reversionary indenture for default of attendance and payment

Term: 21 years from the termination of the sett of 22 September 1732 to commence from 20 November 1752....
