In 1841 William Paynter was sole executor and residuary legatee of his father's will, receiving his premises called Perleese.

In 1841 William Paynter, aged about 45, born in the county, farmer, and wife Ann Paynter, aged about 45, born in the county, were living in Perlees, St. Breock, Cornwall. With them were children William (11), Anne (8), John (6), Samuel (4).
