To enlist in the Australian Army for WWII, William CASIMIR claimed his date of birth as 1900, thereby lowering his age to become eligible. He enlisted at Paddington NSW 3rd June, 1940. He served in Palestine with the rank of Sergeant after which he was discharged on the 8th November,1945. He and Orontes lived at 27 Patterson Street, Concord NSW. He worked at DAVID JONES, Sydney store, in the Ladies shoe department.
