In 1851 William Thomas, aged 21, born in Camborne Cornwall, copper mine agent, was with his parents in Roskear, Camborne.

In 1861 William Thomas, aged 33, born in Camborne, copper mine agent, and wife Julia Thomas, aged 26, born in Illogan Cornwall, were living in Pendarves St., Camborne. With them were sons William Arthur (1) and Caleb (2 months), both born in Camborne. Brother Charles and his family were living nextdoor.

In 1871 William Thomas, aged 41, born in Camborne, mine agent, and wife Julia F. Thomas, were living in Pendarvis St., Camborne. With them were children (born in Camborne): William A. (12), John (9), Charles (7), Julia A. (4), Alfred M. (2). William's brother Charles and his family were living a couple of doors away.

In 1881 William Thomas, aged 51, born in Camborne, mine agent, tin [and] copper miner, and wife Julia F. Thomas, aged 46, born in Illogan, were living at 2 Pendarves St., Camborne. Present were children (born in Camborne): William A. (21), banker's clerk, John (19), apprentice engineer, Charles (17), apprentice draper, Julia A. F. (14), scholar, Alfred M. (12), scholar, Herbert V. (7), scholar. William's brother Charles and his family were living nextdoor.

In 1891 William Thomas, aged 61, born in Illogan [sic], tin mine agent, and wife Julia F. Thomas, aged 56, born in Illogan, were living at 11 Bond St., Redruth, Cornwall. With them were children (born in Camborne): John V. (29), mining engineer, Julia A. (24), Herbert V. (17), [illegible].

In 1901 William Thomas, aged 71, born in Camborne, retired tin mine agent, and wife Julia F. Thomas, aged 66, born in Camborne [sic], were living at 11 Bond St., Redruth. With them were children John (39), mining engineer, Julia A. T. (34), Alfred M. (32), chemist, Herbert V. (27), tin mine surveyor.

In 1911 William Thomas, aged 81, born in Camborne, widower, retired tin mine agent, was living in Bond Street, Redruth. With him were children (born in Camborne, single) John V. Thomas (48), mining engineer, and Julia A. Thomas (43).
