Abstract of the Will of John Davey of the Parish of Camborne in the County of Cornwall, written 9 Oct 1730, proved 13 May 1731. 2

Gives to his wife Elizabeth his tenement called Edmonds tenement, as well as his best cow, his best bed, best trunk, crocks and pans, and one half of the tilled corn.

Gives to his sons William Davey and Thomas Davey all his right and title in Camborne Vean and the Great Close, and all his right and title to them in tin and metal.

Gives to his sons John Davey and Joseph Davey his estate in Camborne Church Town.

Gives to his daughter Ann Danill one broad piece of gold.

Gives to his daughter Elizabeth Dunkin one guinea of gold.

All the rest of his goods and chattels he gives to (his brother) John Davey whom he appoints sole executor of his last will and testament.

Wills that his daughters Mary and Dorcas enjoy Edmonds Tenement after the death of their mother.

Wills that if he dies within six weeks of writing his will, his sons William and Thomas shall have the three fat bullocks now in the Great Close.

Directs that if his son John, who is currently ill, dies, then his said sons William and Thomas are to have his share.

John married Elizabeth Harris, daughter of Thomas Harris of Camborne and Anne Whita, on 29 Apr 1699 in Camborne, Cornwall. (Elizabeth Harris was born on 9 Jun 1680, christened on 9 Apr 1696 in Camborne, Cornwall and was buried on 8 Apr 1768 in Camborne, Cornwall.)
