In 1631 Joseph Parsons son of Thomas Parsons received £5 from the Will of his paternal grandfather William Parsons of Clyffe Pypard.

In 1659 Joseph Parsons son of Thomas Parsons received £5 from the Will of his uncle John Parsons of Elcombe.

An inventory of the goods of Joseph Parsons of Clyffe Pypard, deceased, was taken on 28 Oct 1685 by John Carpenter & Richard Garlicke, appraising a value of £22 10s.

Anne Parsons of Cleeve Pepper in the county of Wilts, widow, Joseph Parsons of the same place, yeoman, and John Carpenter of the same place, yeoman, paid bond for Administration of the goods and chattels of Joseph Parsons late of Cleeve Pepper, deceased, yeoman. Administration was granted to his relict Anne Parsons on 31 Oct 1685. 3
